I missed my traffic court date.?

Im 17 with no record and I have a ticket for Failure to Wear my seatbelt. My court date was April 1 but i misread the officers handwriting and thought it would be the 7th. I realized I had missed it this morning April 3rd on the way to school. After I got home about 6, I work at a daycare at an elementary school, I called the courthouse to see if I could apologize and reschedule but they were closed and wont be open until Monday. I understand that there may be a bench warrant on my name but other than that is this a major problem? Surely stuff like this must happen once in a while.
