What do you think caused this, guys?

My friend asked me if I wanted to come to M with him to vist his parents and go clubbing. We were having a blast but when we went clubbing and the bouncer wouldn't let him in because he was wearing sneakers. He said him and his guy friend would go across the street to the bar, and me and my girl friend could go into the club. So we did. He wouldn't talk to me the entire five hour ride home and a week later he still won't acknowlege me. I feel so bad because I didn't know he really didn't want us to go in without him. And he did so much for me that weekend and spent so much money. How should I try to make it right? What should I say? And why do you think he reacted so badly?? Do you think he sees us as more then friends?
