Are recruiters starting to recruit small running backs more than big backs?

I am a small back myself and I watxh guys like Jacquizz Rodgers, Jahvid Best, Darren Sproles, Maurice Jones-Drew and etc. What are some things that a small back would need to be successful? I really want to know because I am haeding down that path with the small backs and I want to be successful too
